Our September!!!!

I know it has been a long time since I posted anything and I apologize. September was a very busy month for our family. Dylan started kindergarden at Dry Hollow Elementary, go viking's. Jadyn started her second year of preschool at Great n' Small. I started back to nursing school to finish up my RN. Edson has been working nights full time and establishing his online business. Dylan also started playing soccer this year and he is really enjoying it.

Dylan was very excited to start school but when he got there the first day and his best friend was in the morning class instead of his he was pretty bummed. He is finally starting to make new friends and getting used to having to sit still in class. He has decided that preschool was much funner then kindergarden.

Jadyn was scared to go to preschool the first day because Dylan would not be there. When I came to pick her up however she cried and through a fit because she did not want to leave. Her teachers say she is really coming out of her shell this year. I responded with, "what shell".

So far nursing school has not been too bad. we are focusing on pysch nursing these first few weeks and it is very interesting. I can't wait to learn how to start IV's and clinicals. This year we are more on our own and don't have to wait for an instructor to perform our skills. It has been crazy getting everyone where they need to be but I am loving it. Watching Dylan grow and start to read is just indescribable.

I will try to keep this more up to date. No promises though. Amy

Finally!!!

I finally got to start woring this weekend at my new job. I will be passing meds at the Oregon Veterans Home for a while and then they will train me to do the charge nurse job. There are four wings and each wing has about 30+ residents. That is a lot of new faces to learn and they all take their medications differently. I am catching on pretty quick and can't wait until I will be working on my own. the day goes by pretty fast as the residents get medications in the morning at lunch and at 2pm. the residents are great and have been very happy to see a new face. So far no big problems getting people to take their medications but it is only my second day.

The kids are getting excited to get back to school, especially Dylan, who will start kindergarten this year. We took a walk this evening and went by his school so he could get a closer look. He was very excited and really wanted to check out the playground.

Dylan's Preschool Graduation

Dylan graduated from preschool this year and thay had a little ceremony for all of the kids. Dylan behaved like a champ all through the program until they started calling the graduates names. His name was called and he politely collected his diploma and walked over to sit with us. A few more names were called and then they called Quinn's name. Quinns is a sweet boy that always wants to play swords with Dylan at school but does not let him when. Because of this fact Dylan thinks Quinn is "always mean to him". Needless to say Dylan let out a loud boooo when the teacher called Quinn's name. I was so embarassed and Dylan was severly punished. After all was said and done Dylan felt very bad about booing and I don't think he will ever boo and anyone again.

Still waiting

I am still waiting for OSBN to post my licence so I can start working. To pass the time I have been having a yard sale for the past few weekends. Made pretty good money too. Unfortunatley I still have a lot of stuff to sell. The kids passed some of today swimming in their little pool. Jadyn loves to help with the yard sale and pretend that she is a customer. Dylan just wants to make sure that I am not selling anything he still wants. I hope to start working this sat. but if not I will keep hangin out with the kids and trying to sell my stuff.

Jadyn and Great Grandma making playdough

Jadyn and great grandma had lots of fun making playdough the other day. Jadyn helped with the mixing and she had a blast. Both Grandma and Jadyn had a great time. I joined in and we decided to try and color the playdough with kool-aid. It did not add a lot of color but the dough sure smelled good.
